It’s a family story that stretches back to the 1940s. Belgian watchmaker Maurice Barouh was devoted to the strict craft of watchmaking. Maurice would only use the highest quality materials and insisted on staying true to the precision of watchmaking. Maurice’s son, Jack, would also grow to love the passion of horology, but unlike his father, Jack Barouh also knew how to translate fashion trends into his designs.
In 1995, Jack and his wife Rita founded the company we know today as Michele, named for their eldest daughter. In 2000, Michele Barouh joined on and is now the creative director who is taking her father’s aesthetic into the third generation.
