Posted by Sylvans at 7:30:34 AM in Christopher Designs (21)

While shopping for an engagement ring, you should not pass up the opportunity to see the Crisscut L'Amour Round Collection Diamond Engagement Ring in person. This stunning piece is presented in white gold, with a large Crisscut diamond surrounded by a circle of equally radiant diamonds, flanked by lines of even more dazzling stones.

This ring is an exquisite part of the L'Amour collection of designs, with diamonds known for 50 facets with flat sides that create a very unique brilliance not found in other jewelry designs.

The renowned designer Christopher Slowinski learned his trade from masters in Poland, and brought his skills to New York City, where his Christopher Designs factory is still working to uphold their exceptionally high standards. Crisscut diamonds first originated to create almost twice as many facets as an original cut. If you compare a Crisscut diamond to another generic diamond, the difference in brilliance will be remarkable, please see for yourself.

Diamond shapes

Posted by Sylvans at 9:00:00 AM in Christopher Designs (21)

The shape of your diamond says a lot about your style. Round diamonds are preferred by women who have a fuss-free style. They don’t follow trends and are confident that their taste transcends time. The princess cut diamond, meantime, fits women who like contemporary styles. This cut, in fact, is preferred by Hollywood couples these days, making the princess cut a trendy design. On the other hand, the emerald cut like a Christopher Designs evokes a vintage appeal. It’s an ideal fit for women who are confidence and have a deep sense of art and heritage appreciation. Like the emerald cut, the Asscher cut has the same appeal. So, when choosing the right diamond for engagement or wedding, make sure the shape matches the wearer’s personality.

How to match accessories

Posted by Sylvans at 1:00:20 AM in Christopher Designs (21)

Wearing expensive signature jewelry like Christopher Designs is an art form. In fact, wearing jewelry doesn’t guarantee at once that you’ll achieve style. You need to know how to match your accessories with your dress, bag, shoes, hair, facial shape, skin tone, occasion, etc. There are myriad factors to consider, but let’s distil everything to 3 simple tips. First, match the color of your jewelry with your dress. For daring look combine primary and secondary colors and avoid wearing holiday colors. Second, scale your accessories. If you’re wearing an ornate gown, tone down your jewelry. Conversely, more lavish accessories work with simple dresses. Third, think what style you want. Is it classic? Glamorous? Edgy? Or casual? Your taste will determine your style and overall appearance.

Simply Perfection

Posted by Sylvans at 12:58:04 AM in Christopher Designs (21)

Perfection is hard to come by. But for perfectionists such as Christopher Slowinski who founded Christopher Designs in 1981, perfection is being achieved consistently. Christopher Slowinski combines Old World jewelry making techniques with state-of-the-art technology to create designs that pushes the envelope when it comes to craftsmanship and beauty in the luxury industry. He is led by his own passion for innovation. His pursuit for perfection helped him invent the Crisscut. This cut redefined how brilliant a diamond could be by having 77 "crisscrossed" facets versus the generic 48. This was only the beginning of his Crisscut innovations. He added more Crisscut designs that pushed the envelope further. Even today, with all the success that he garnered. He proudly says that there is no stone that is cut or a setting that is cast in their New York City factory that he had not personally inspect. This is a mark of a perfectionist. This is a mark of Christopher Designs.

Most romantic stories

Posted by Sylvans at 11:00:25 AM in Christopher Designs (21)

You've been planning to make the engagement day as the best romantic day of your life. Your Christopher Designs ring is ready, the venue is perfect, and she's no clue. The only missing element is your story. Can it match the most romantic stories of all time? Does your romance have the colorful friction of Rome & Juliet? Does it exhibit a flirtatious appeal of Cleopatra and Mark Anthony? Maybe it rivals Lancelot & Guinevere's chivalric story? We hope it doesn't have the tragic twist of Tristan & Isolde nor the catastrophic element between Paris & Helena. These classic stories all have sad endings, so maybe you should adore the scientists, Marie and Pierre Curie. The Curies went on to discover polonium and radium in between their romance and bag themselves a little trophy called the Nobel Prize for Physics.

109 facets!

Posted by Sylvans at 11:50:35 AM in Christopher Designs (21)

Diamonds in the rough hardly inspire anyone. But in the hands of a master jeweller, the precious stone becomes a magnificent work of art. In the hands of Christopher Designs the diamond can even become the signature’s Crisscut Round diamond famous for its 109 facets! When light strikes these mini refraction panels the result is nothing short of spectacular: the luminosity and radiance bouncing off inside before exploding into minute dancing sparkles of colorful lights. The diamond cut, in fact, has 12 walls that create arrows meeting to the center in perfect symmetry. This creates an illusion of scalloped edges. Similarly, looking down at the Crisscut Round’s 109 facets gives you a sense of a bottomless pit. It’s a tiny precious stone that seems to get larger as your eyes stay longer. The Christopher Designs Crisscut Round is made with one thing in mind: mesmerize.

Engagement ring ideas? Just ask the receiver

Posted by Sylvans at 2:00:00 AM in Christopher Designs (21)

When shopping for engagement rings, we normally ask our drinking buddies for suggestions. But if you want to be more than sure to get the right one, why not get it straight from the horse’s mouth? In other words, directly ask our female counterparts. In fact, some experts say that while a bride-to-be may have no idea when she’ll be asked for engagement, it’s very likely that she knows what kind of engagement ring she would want to receive. Today, women tend to prefer engagement rings that are trendy (colored ones), princess cut (bigger-sized center stone), elegant (timeless beauty), simple (iconic), off-beat (unique design), and something really different from the rest.

Guess what? All of these qualities are found in the proven expert in engagement rings — Christopher Designs — such as the Christopher Designs .48k Crisscut diamond engagement ring, adorned with Crisscut center diamonds and halo styling.

Among the most historical jewelry

Posted by Sylvans at 11:00:00 AM in Christopher Designs (21)

Since the dawn of human civilization, necklaces have been an essential component of jewelry. Believed to have been first used during the Stone Age (40,000 years ago), the very first forms of necklaces were made of crude, natural materials like strong vines for holding shells or bones. As man progressed in sophistication throughout history, better, more expensive materials were used, particularly those with higher monetary value which helped made necklaces to become heirlooms or simply personal possessions of high importance. Today, a myriad of necklaces are offered in the market in varying designs, types, and prices. But if one is looking for jewelry designs and make that are sure to stand out from the rest, just look for those made by Christopher Designs. Made with an 8.87k Crisscut Round centers encircled by 47.86k round diamonds, this Christopher Designs necklace in particular overflows with opulence and sheer beauty—distinctive qualities this jewelry designer had been known for.

Some Shine Brighter Than Others

Posted by Sylvans at 1:00:00 AM in Christopher Designs (21)

It is the cut of a diamond that brings out its brilliance. And one brilliant patented cut has captivated people for years. It is called the Crisscut – a name chosen as a reference to the crisscrossed facets that draws out the diamond’s brilliance, light dispersion and scintillation. This has been invented by no other than Christopher Slowinski of Christopher Designs – a designer known for uniting classical jewelry training and state of the art techonology to create elegant pieces worthy to symbolize love that lasts forever. The Crisscut family is made up of 4 styles – Round, Emerald, Cushion, and the Asscher.  The higher number of facets allows Crisscut diamonds to shite brighter than its counterparts.

Bridal jewelry ideas

Posted by Sylvans at 3:00:00 AM in Christopher Designs (21)

It’s your big day and you want it to be as memorable as ever. For starters, make sure you have the best bridal jewelry that fits your style. The easy choice is to adorn yourself with a luxury signature like Christopher Designs bridal rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. But beyond this, here are a few other ideas that you can use to create an impressive bridal jewelry. If your dress is elaborate, your necklace should be a simple, elegant, one-string with a singular pendant to counter the dress. Conversely, if your dress is simple, you can opt for a bib necklace that adds more sophistication to your overall appearance. The same rule applies for bracelets. For a simple dress, a thicker more elaborate bracelet is in order; for more intricately designed gowns, use simpler bracelets to provide a nice contrast. You can also wear a crystal hair comb if you don’t have a veil. The comb reflects light and produces a nice sparkle to lighten up your face. Lastly, if you wear your hair down, a pair of simple Christopher Designs diamond stud is perfect. For an updo hairstyle, you can go for more sophisticated earrings.

Do you have a heart-shaped face?

Posted by Sylvans at 2:00:00 AM in Christopher Designs (21)

Christopher Designs diamond earrings are glamorous to say the least. To get the best out of these impressive jewelry pieces, make sure to wear a pair of earrings that matches your facial shape. For example, the dangle Aqua center earrings and the chandelier pair that features Crisscut Round diamonds work best for women with heart-shaped faces. The long earrings will create more length to an otherwise short facial shape. Furthermore, these dangling earrings widen at the middle just as where the triangular face starts to narrow down (somewhere at the ear level). The earrings make the face wider and achieve a balance across the face lengthwise. The Christopher Designs teardrop earrings also work for heart-shaped faces for the same reasons. The teardrop, in fact, is a favorite by celebrities with heart-shaped faces during awards nights, namely Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston.

The Other Crisscut Styles

Posted by Sylvans at 9:00:00 AM in Christopher Designs (21)

Christopher Designs is most popular for its patented CrissCut Round, a 58-facet round brilliant diamond. A Christopher Designs diamond produces more scintillation or light bounces that result in more brilliant stones. But Christopher Designs has also other CrissCut lines. The CrissCut Cushion or Old-Mine Cut features a square-shaped cut. It used to be as popular as the Round Cut before it gave way to the latter, which expresses a more standardized way of cutting and creating facets. Likewise, the CrissCut Emerald features 46- and 77-facet stones cut in rectangular forms. The CrissCut Asscher meantime creates an illusion of depth with its step facet configuration that draws the eye to the center. Christopher Designs improved on the original Asscher cut developed in the early twentieth century to create more scintillation and result in more brilliance.

Seamless fusion of tradition and innovation

Posted by Sylvans at 10:00:00 AM in Christopher Designs (21)

A renowned guy once said that "tradition makes the masterpiece tell the performer what to do." But in today's dog-eats-dog world, who would care about a masterpiece? In turn, innovation enhances tradition, bestowing real beauty, timeliness, and worth to a masterpiece. For the past two decades, Christopher Designs had been known for jewelry creations that combine classical tradition with cutting-edge innovation, as epitomized by its "Crisscut" diamond.

The Christopher Designs 68R-YD wedding ring features a 5.04ct fancy yellow radiant diamond at its center and is encompassed by a plethora of 1.54ct round diamonds. As always, the innovative play of colors, enhanced by the crisscrosed facets result in unparalleled brilliance of this breathtaking gem. Try wearing one and it's like garbing your fingers with sunlight.

A Perfect Cut

Posted by Sylvans at 9:00:00 AM in Christopher Designs (21)

Aside from color, diamonds are also valued the way it’s cut. Cut does not mean the shape of the diamond, but the symmetry, proportion and polishing style used by the jeweler. Different cutting styles produce different brilliance; thus, jewelers have been on a perpetual quest to find the best cut that will create the most scintillation or light bounces off the diamond. Christopher Designs’ CrissCut is one of the more popular known diamond cuts. The patented CrissCut features crisscrossing patterns or facets in the diamond that enhance its brilliance. The result is a more fiery diamond. This cut is evidently a step forward to finding the best cut that Christopher Designs has patented it to prevent copycats. The CrissCut style is available in Christopher Designs’ line of fine jewellery including rings, bands, earrings and bracelets.

The Grandest wedding

Posted by Sylvans at 3:40:00 AM in Christopher Designs (21)

A wedding is not about the grand cake that sought everyone’s approval with its three levels of pastry. It’s not about the finest wine and food served to fill up the guests. Nor the wedding is about the elaborate decorations that dressed up the church and the reception venue. It’s not even about the Christopher Designs Crisscut wedding bands you exchanged vows with, although they didn’t fail to elicit murmurs of admiration from guests. All these only reinforce why the day was grand and worth the luxury that you’d put in. That reason was standing in front of you, the lady whose finger you’re slipping the Christopher Designs elegant ring on as you promised the heavens to love her forever. The same lady who, the first time you’d met, you know she’s the one worth the grandest wedding of all. Sylvan's on Main Street, Columbia is an authorized dealer for Christopher Designs.

More Brilliance, More Value

Posted by Sylvans at 10:00:00 AM in Christopher Designs (21)

They say, sometimes less is more. Keyword: Sometimes. More often, more is really more. Like in the case of Christopher Designs and the brand’s famous crisscut diamonds. The renowned maker of diamond fashion and bridal designer jewelry creates its unique diamond pattern using a crisscrossed facet configuration and arrangement to maximize the stone’s beauty. The facets are almost twice as many as the number in the conventional cuts, and continually bounce light off each other to radiate unequalled brilliance and seemingly infinite scintillation. The Crisscut Brilliant round, one of Christopher Designs’ proud symbols of innovative excellence, has 109 facets that show off a dozen arrows pointing towards the center. Its 12 exquisitely cut straight walls and sides form the illusion of a flawlessly elegant scalloped border. The starburst brilliance of the Crisscut gives diamonds a whole new glamorous outfit – whether it is the most popular round cut, the more vintage cushion, trendy emerald or rare asscher. Christopher Designs believes in giving you more – more innovations, more brilliance, and more value.
