At Sylvan's Jewelers, we've been involved with the Columbia community since Gustaf Sylvan opened the doors to his first shop on Main Street. Here's what we've been involved with in 2016:
On January 30th, Sylvan's Jewelers was among the sponsors of FROST, a magical winter gala complete with falling snowflakes, chilling cocktails and exquisite cuisine, to benefit the EdVenture Children's Museum. The proceeds from the evening, including the sale of the dazzling Sylvan's diamond pendant featured in the silent auction, support the museum's Yes, Every Child Can initiative to provide access to educational programming for underserved children and their families.
In March, Sylvan's Jewelers helped celebrate the arts at the annual Columbia Museum of Art Gala. As always, the Gala, which is the museum's largest fundraiser, was an elegant, black-tie affair attended by nearly 1,000 guests. A sterling silver Kali Pebble cuff bracelet from our John Hardy collection was featured as a prize in the first raffle held at the Gala in years.
